Rights of the data subject

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) guarantees every data subject certain rights in relation to their personal data. These include:

The right of access: every data subject has the right to obtain from us confirmation as to whether or not personal data concerning them are being processed, and access to those data, as well as further information and copies of those data.

The right to rectification: Every data subject has the right to request the rectification of inaccurate personal data without undue delay. The right to erasure ("right to be forgotten"): Every data subject has the right to request the erasure of their personal data without undue delay.

If we process personal data concerning the data subject for the purpose of direct marketing, the data subject may object to this processing pursuant to Art. 21 (2) and (3) GDPR.

Right to Withdraw Consent to Data Processing: Every data subject has the right to withdraw their consent to the processing of personal data at any time.

The data subject also has the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority if they consider that the processing of their personal data infringes the GDPR.

“Personal data” is all information that relates to a specific person. We process this data in accordance with the applicable data protection laws, in particular the GDPR and the BDSG. We may only process personal data if one of the following legal permissions applies:

Storage duration of personal data

We only store your data for as long as is necessary to achieve the purpose of the processing or to fulfill our contractual or legal obligations, unless otherwise stated in the following information.

Statutory retention obligations may arise from commercial or tax regulations. After the end of the calendar year in which we collected the data, we will retain personal data contained in our accounting records for ten years and personal data contained in business letters and contracts for six years.

Furthermore, we will retain data in connection with consents requiring proof as well as complaints and claims for the duration of the statutory limitation periods. Data stored for advertising purposes will be deleted if you object to processing for this purpose.

Operation of our LinkedIn site

For the operation of our LinkedIn website, we may collect personal data. As a rule, the collection and processing of your data takes place in pseudonymized form; this means that we cannot assign your data directly to your name or e-mail address.

In this respect, processing takes place via a profile based on an ID or a cookie. You can have a significant influence on the processing of your data; to do this, simply click on ‘Me’ in your LinkedIn profile and then on the Settings menu item.

LinkedIn analytics, interaction, and marketing services

LinkedIn analytics

LinkedIn provides us with statistical data about visitors to our LinkedIn website via the "LinkedIn analytics" function. We are not able to establish a personal reference. This information is purely functional and helps us to better analyze our site and adapt it to your needs and interests. Interaction with LinkedIn page

As soon as you use a LinkedIn plugin on our website or rate or subscribe to our posts on our LinkedIn page, we can establish the corresponding personal connection. We can also see from which LinkedIn profile the comments on our LinkedIn page originate.

Service provider for LinkedIn marketing

If we use service providers for the data processing of our LinkedIn site, we conclude corresponding contracts for commissioned processing (AVV) with them. In the course of this, we regulate to what extent and under what security conditions the processing of the data takes place and determine the necessary powers of instruction in accordance with Art. 28 GDPR.

Comment function on our LinkedIn page

We regularly publish news on our LinkedIn page. In order to be able to engage in an active exchange with you, we have activated the corresponding comment function of LinkedIn. We reserve the right to remove inappropriate contributions (e.g. with racist, illegal or comparable content) immediately.

For this purpose, all comments are checked for inappropriate content. In doing so, we can see from which LinkedIn profile the respective comment was posted.

We have access to the content of the comment, the time it was created, the user ID, the LinkedIn username, and can establish a relation to the previous posts and comments.

As a rule, data is not passed on to third parties; in exceptional cases, a legal provision or a corresponding court order may compel us to disclose the corresponding data.
